What the lights mean
One light per channel. Here is what each colour says.
Pick a colour to see it on the unit.
Green · The channel is active.
While it runs
At power-on
For about three seconds each light flashes quickly to show the sensor type set on its channel.
Other colours at power-on are reserved for future use.
Common fixes
Try these first.
HardwareOBWB8m
A channel light is red.
Red means that channel is open circuit: a broken wire, or a damaged or disconnected sensor. Check that channel’s sensor and its wiring.
A channel light stays yellow.
Steady yellow means the channel is uncalibrated. The manual gives the likely cause as the temperature being out of spec.
All the lights alternate yellow and purple.
That means the main power is off. Check the feed to the power input.
My ECU is not seeing the channels.
Check the cable is on the right port. The ECU cable goes to the port under “Built” in the OberBuilt logo; the other port is reserved for future OberBuilt add-ons. If the channels still don’t show, ask for help.
The unit’s Wi-Fi page will not open.
Make sure your phone or laptop has joined the unit’s own Wi-Fi network. Its name starts with OBWB8m- followed by the unit’s ID. Some antivirus software and network settings can block the page; check those, then try again.
How do I update the firmware?
Your dealer handles updates for now.
SoftwareAnalysis Engine
My log will not read.
It reads Holley EFI HP and Dominator logs today. Export the log as a CSV first; the native .dl file is not read. Terminator X logs are in testing. More may be added, and custom formats are considered on request. If yours is something else, or an HP or Dominator CSV still won’t read, send it to us and we will tell you straight whether we can read it.

One credit runs one log. You buy credits in packs; nothing renews, and there is no monthly fee. See the packs
Do I need an OBWB8m to use it?
No. It reads Holley EFI HP and Dominator logs, with or without an OBWB8m on the car.
